The Three Pillars. En Vía is a women-only microfinance and education program built on three interconnected pillars: Microfinance, Education, and Responsible Tourism. Since 2008, we have worked with approximately 200 women across 7 communities to build sustainable livelihoods that strengthen families and preserve Zapotec culture.

Removing the Barrier of Debt. Traditional microfinance in rural areas often carries high interest rates due to operational costs. En Vía changes the system by providing interest-free loans. By using 100% of tour proceeds and donations to fund these loans, we ensure that entrepreneurs can invest directly in raw materials and business growth without the burden of debt.

A System, Not a Handout. Tours and donations are not separate from our mission. They are part of the empowerment process. This "Circular Path" keeps resources moving, supporting nearly 7,000 loans to date. It is a system where small, consistent decisions by women entrepreneurs lead to long-term community resilience.
